First, there is a shot of the rusty bumper. Now, not rusted completely through, but with raised rust spots across the once chrome truck bumper rather thoroughly. Coke straight from the bottle is poured directly on to the bumper and is followed by a scrubbing with the rough side of a sponge and scrubber. A few more passes are made as the scrubbing continues.
After a light wiping at the start of the Coke-on-bumper treatment the rubbing increases in intensity all the while rinsing the truck bumper with more and more— but not a lot, less than a whole 20 ounce bottle— Coca-Cola as the camera records in a few minutes that the once rusty and bubbling truck bumper returns to a bright luster and sharp shine. Do you really want to ingest something that can literally dissolve rust before your very eyes in a matter of mere minutes? I sure don’t.
Coca-Cola over the years has been found to be good for a number of household applications in addition to just drinking it straight from the bottle. Coke removes blood stains from both clothing and fabric. Apply Coke, dab soiled area, bingo, the stain is gone. It is also known, that Coca-Cola and aluminum foil will bring a high shine to chrome which had been less perfect of aura. Coke also can be used to clean the terminal of a car battery— pour a little Coke on each side, negative and positive, wait just a little while, and voila, the battery terminals are clean and easier to attach the wires onto.
Upon ingesting a glass of Coca-Cola a number of things happen to the human body. Immediately after drinking down a glass the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar is introduced into the body. Within the first 20 minutes blood sugar goes off the chart and the pancreas and liver both respond, producing massive amounts of insulin. In a Hypoglycemic, or Diabetic, person this could spell illness in a major way. Within 40 minutes the caffeine is fully absorbed in the bloodstream and the person’s blood pressure rises, as in the same way as if the person had taken an amphetamine instead. Then, 45 minutes after having drank a full glass of Coke the brain ups dopamine production bringing a sense of comfort and well being, and, bringing about the urge to have another glass of the product.
Most of us know that having a single glass of Coca-Cola, or another and different beverage of the same variety, daily will not kill or hurt a person. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there in the world who don’t limit themselves to only one glass, but have 3, or 4, or even 6, or 7. Too much of a good thing can lead to disease, and sometimes, even to hospitalization, or something yet worse. So, people, as with everything else in life on planet earth, “Everything in moderation,” is a great rule to go by. Enjoy yourselves, but please, don’t over do it!
